By consciously re-directing our consumer spend, we could elevate the economic well-being of women and their families by supporting the growth and success of Women-Owned Businesses. So what are we waiting for?


Women-Owned Businesses are grossly underfunded, limiting their capacity to grow.

Women receive less than 4% of the $700 billion in available capital - not because their businesses aren't sound; not because they don't generate enough revenue; and not because they don't have the skills that their competitors have. WOBs face gender bias at investment firms, as well as, at financial and lending institutions, because there are few women in decision-making positions and that's not changing anytime soon. Without this funding, the challenges WOBs face include: having smaller marketing budgets to reach consumers; less resources to acquire or hire to fill knowledge gaps; and require extra hours to research and meet with the funders that do invest or lend to women.
